About Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's

Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's belongs to a class of drugs called antifungals used to treat fungal infections of the mouth, throat, toenails, fingernails or lungs. Fungal infection is a disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).

Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's contains Itraconazole, an antifungal that works by inhibiting the production of ergosterol (a main component of cell membranes of fungi). Thereby, weakens and damages the fungal cell membranes that are essential for their survival as they prevent the entry of unwanted substances into the cells and stop the leakage of cell contents. Thus, causes the main components of fungal cells to leak out and kill fungi and clear the fungal infection.

Take Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you on how often you take Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's based on your medical condition. Some people may experience nausea, headache, diarrhoea, tiredness, cough, cold, throat pain, back pain and stomach pain. Most of these side effects of Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Directions for Use

Tablet: Take it with food to avoid stomach upset or as advised by the doctor. Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew it. If you are taking any stomach acid suppressor or have achlorhydria (stomach does not produce hydrochloric acid), take Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's with cola. Oral suspension: Shake the bottle well before use and take it on an empty stomach at least 1 or 2 hours before meals as prescribed by your doctor with a measuring cup or spoon provided.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's may interact with antacids (esomeprazole, omeprazole, pantoprazole), corticosteroids (fluticasone, budesonide), opioid pain killers (hydrocodone), blood thinners (warfarin), blood cholesterol-lowering medicines (simvastatin), anti-allergic drug (terfenadine) and antianxiety drug (alprazolam).

Drug-Food Interaction: Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's may interact with grapefruit juice. Therefore, avoid intake of grapefruit juice with Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's as it may reduce the effect of Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's. Also, avoid intake of marijuana with Itrawok 100 Capsule 4's as it may worsen the adverse effects of marijuana.
