Ivered-A12 Dispersible Tablet 1's is used to treat parasitic worm infections. It can be used to treat infections caused by roundworms, hookworms, threadworms, whipworms, pinworms, flukes, and other parasites. It contains Albendazole and Ivermectin, which work by keeping the worm from taking glucose and depleting its energy levels, leading to its immobilisation. Also, it can kill the parasites by acting on the nervous system. It starves the worms by inducing paralysis, consequently leading them to death. It may cause common side effects such as stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, a decrease in white blood cell count (leucopenia), vision problems, confusion, weakness, and difficulty walking. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

About Ivered-A12 Dispersible Tablet 1's

Ivered-A12 Dispersible Tablet 1's is a prescription medicine used to treat infections caused by various parasitic worms. It targets and eliminates these parasites from your body, helping to resolve uncomfortable symptoms and prevent further health complications. This medication is commonly prescribed for conditions like intestinal worm infestations and certain tissue-based parasitic diseases.

This medication is usually taken as a single dose or a short course, depending on the specific type of parasite being treated. Practising strict personal hygiene, such as washing your hands frequently and keeping your living environment clean, is essential to help support the treatment and prevent reinfection.

Many people take this medicine without experiencing major issues, but some may have mild side effects like a temporary upset stomach, headache, or dizziness. However, if you notice serious signs like yellowing of your skin or eyes, severe skin rashes, or extreme fatigue, you should consult your doctor immediately.

Before starting this treatment, it is important to talk to your doctor if you have a history of liver damage, kidney disease, or blood disorders. Do not take this if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or if you have had an allergic reaction to similar anti-parasitic medications in the past.

This medicine can interact with alcohol, smoking, and certain other drugs, which may increase the strain on your liver or reduce how well the treatment works. Pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and elderly individuals should always consult their doctor to weigh the risks and benefits before taking this medicine. This medicine should be given to children only as prescribed by a doctor. It is generally not recommended for children weighing less than 15 kg. The dose depends on the child's age, weight, and the type of infection being treated.

Uses of Ivered-A12 Dispersible Tablet 1's

Your doctor may recommend this medicine to help manage the following conditions:

  • Intestinal worm infections: It clears soil-transmitted helminths, such as roundworms, whipworms, and hookworms, by stopping them from absorbing nutrients.
  • Lymphatic filariasis: It helps manage and control this mosquito-borne parasitic disease by clearing the microscopic worms from the bloodstream.
  • Systemic worm infections: It treats tissue-dwelling parasitic infections, such as those affecting the brain, lungs, or liver.

Key Benefits

When taken consistently as directed, this medicine may provide the following physiological benefits:

  • Fast-acting relief from parasitic symptoms: By rapidly targeting the nervous system and energy supply of the parasites, this medication stops them from multiplying, which relieves stomach pain, fatigue, and itching quickly.
  • Prevents long-term health complications: Eliminating the parasitic load helps prevent severe chronic issues like anaemia, malnutrition, and organ damage, allowing your body to recover its strength.
  • Convenient treatment schedule: Because it combines two highly effective active ingredients, this medication is often prescribed as a simple, short course or even a single dose, making it much easier to complete your treatment successfully.

Directions for Use

  • Ivered-A12 Dispersible Tablet 1's can be taken with or after a meal, or as advised by your doctor.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions regarding the dosage and duration of the medication.

How Ivered-A12 Dispersible Tablet 1's Works

This medication contains Ivered-A12 Dispersible Tablet 1's. It is a combination of two active anti-parasitic medicines that work together to clear infections thoroughly: Albendazole prevents parasites from absorbing glucose (sugar), their main source of energy. Without enough energy, the parasites weaken and eventually die. Ivermectin acts on specific channels in the parasites' nerve and muscle cells (glutamate-gated chloride channels), causing paralysis so they can no longer survive and are removed naturally by the body. Together, these two medicines work in different ways to help clear parasitic infections more effectively.
