Jeyderm-Plus Cream is used to reduce swelling, itching and redness caused by bacterial and fungal skin infections. It blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers), which makes the skin red, swollen and itchy. Also, it kills fungi and inhibits the growth of bacteria. It may cause side effects such as dry skin, burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. About Jeyderm-Plus Cream

Jeyderm-Plus Cream belongs to a class of dermatological medication that is used to reduce swelling, itching and redness caused by bacterial and fungal skin infections. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus infects the tissue. Bacterial skin infections occur when bacteria penetrate through hair follicles or the skin breaks, allowing them to infect the skin.

Jeyderm-Plus Cream is a combination of chlorocresol, Clobetasol, Miconazole and Neomycin. Clobetasol blocks the production of prostaglandins, chemical messengers that can cause the skin to become red, swollen, and itchy. Miconazole works by causing holes in the fungal cell membranes and killing fungi. Neomycin works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Chlorocresol acts as a preservative.

Jeyderm-Plus Cream is for external use only and is generally safe to use. Some people may experience side effects such as dry skin, burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. Most of the side effects of Jeyderm-Plus Cream do not require medical attention and usually resolve on their own over time. If these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Brief the doctor about your medical history if you are allergic to Jeyderm-Plus Cream or any of its components. Let your doctor know if you have any fungal infections, viral infections, acne, rosacea, or psoriasis. Jeyderm-Plus Cream is used in the treatment of:<br/>Inflammatory skin disorders: This cream is commonly used for conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis, which are characterised by inflammation, irritation, and itching.<br/>Bacterial skin infections: The neomycin and chlorocresol components help cure superficial bacterial skin infections such as impetigo and infected cuts or abrasions.<br/>Fungal skin infections: Miconazole cures fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, and skin candidiasis.<br/>Mixed infections: This cream, which contains antibiotics and antifungals, can be used to treat skin infections caused by both bacteria and fungi.<br/>Symptomatic relief: The clobetasol component alleviates symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, and pain caused by these conditions.

Directions for Use

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safe and effective use.• Jeyderm-Plus Cream is for external use only. • Wash your hands before and after using Jeyderm-Plus Cream, if your hands are not the affected area to prevent the spread of infection.• Apply the medicine to the affected areas and gently rub it into the skin until it disappears. • Apply it once or twice a day or as suggested. • Avoid contact of Jeyderm-Plus Cream with the nose, mouth, or eyes. If it comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly.

What if I have taken an overdose of Jeyderm-Plus Cream

Do not apply Jeyderm-Plus Cream in large amounts or use it for a longer time than recommended, as it may not give quick or better results and instead increases the risk of side effects.

Drug Warnings

Brief the doctor about your medical history if you are allergic to Jeyderm-Plus Cream or any of its components. Let your doctor know if you have viral infections, adrenal gland problems, or liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use Jeyderm-Plus Cream with proper consultation and caution. Do not use Jeyderm-Plus Cream on the face and avoid contact with the eyes. If Jeyderm-Plus Cream comes into contact with these areas accidentally, rinse them thoroughly with water. Do not put a bandage or dressing on the affected area while using Jeyderm-Plus Cream, unless advised by a doctor. Always wash your hands before and after applying for the Jeyderm-Plus Cream. Do not apply Jeyderm-Plus Cream to broken skin or cuts. In case of accidental swallowing, contact a nearby poison control centre or consult a doctor immediately. It is advised not to use Jeyderm-Plus Cream in more than the prescribed doses or for a prolonged time, as it may cause adverse effects.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
  • In wet places such as changing rooms and gym showers, don't walk on barefoot. Wear flip-flops or sandals to prevent fungal infections.
  • Do not scratch the affected skin area, as this can spread the infection to other parts of your body.
  • Avoid sharing towels, combs, bed sheets, shoes, or socks with others to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Wash your bed sheets and towels regularly.
  • Eat foods rich in quercetin, such as apples, cherries, broccoli, spinach and blueberries.
  • Consuming food rich in probiotics helps in developing the immune system against allergies.
  • Limit foods like dairy products, soy, eggs, and nuts that might trigger allergies.
  • Avoid consuming foods with excess sugar, as it may trigger inflammation.
  • Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats and fish in your diet.
  • Avoid coming into contact with harsh soaps, detergents, and rough fabrics.
