About Laretol Injection 1ml
Laretol Injection 1ml is used to treat or prevent some complications such as low calcium levels (hypocalcemia). Hypocalcaemia is characterized by low levels of calcium in the blood. A lack or inadequacy of vitamin D can cause hypocalcemia.
Laretol Injection 1ml contains calcitriol. It increases the levels of vitamin D in your blood, which in turn raises calcium levels; thus, it helps to treat patients with low levels of calcium who are on chronic renal dialysis.
In some cases, Laretol Injection 1ml can cause side effects like nausea, headache, constipation, or pain/discomfort at the injection site. Most of these side effects of Laretol Injection 1ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.
Before taking the Laretol Injection 1ml, let your doctor know about all your medical conditions, sensitivities, and medications you are using. Inform your doctor if you have too much calcium or vitamin D in the blood before receiving the Laretol Injection 1ml. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
