About Lodol-8 Tablet 10's

Lodol-8 Tablet 10's belongs to a group of medicines called anti-rheumatic and anti-inflammatory agents used to reduce and relieve pain and inflammation (swelling) in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering called cartilage. Rheumatoid arthritis is an auto-immune disease (the body's immune system attacks its tissue), leading to joint pain and damage.

Lodol-8 Tablet 10's contains 'Lornoxicam' which works by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Thereby, Lodol-8 Tablet 10's helps relieve pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

You are advised to take Lodol-8 Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience common side-effects such as dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, headache, vomiting, stomach upset and abdominal pain. Do not take Lodol-8 Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its components, if you have thrombocytopenia (low levels of platelets), gastrointestinal or other bleeding problems, peptic ulcers, severe heart, liver or kidney problems, if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation problems with NSAID's. Inform your doctor if you have impaired kidney or liver function, high blood pressure, heart failure, ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease, asthma, lupus erythematosus (auto-immune disease), diabetes, or blood coagulation disorder. Coadministration of Lodol-8 Tab with Digoxin can reduce the excretion of Digoxin leading to accumulation in the body. This increases the risk or severity of kidney disease.
