About Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's

Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's belongs to a class of medications called 'antihypertensives' primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a chronic condition in which the blood's forced against the artery wall is high. As a result, it leads to heart diseases, irregular heartbeat, and other complications. 

Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's contains 'Lercanidipine' that works by relaxing the blood vessels. This reduces the workload on the heart and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. This medicine needs to be taken regularly to be effective and also for the best results. 

Take Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. You may experience dizziness, headache, faster heart rate, a feeling of fast or uneven heartbeat (palpitations), sudden reddening of your face, neck or upper chest (flushing), and ankle swelling in some cases. Most of these side effects of Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor. 

If you are known to be allergic to Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's or any other medicines, please inform your doctor. Before taking Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's, let your doctor know if you have had hypotension (low blood pressure), angina chest pain, or heart problems, liver or kidney disease, diabetes have. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's. Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's not recommended in children below 18 as the safety and efficacy have not been established in children. Directions for Use

Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's is available in the form of oral tablets. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. You can take Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or break it. Your doctor will decide the dosage based on your medical condition.

Drug Warning

Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's should not be given to the people allergic to Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's or may of its ingredients. Do not take Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's if you are allergic to any of its contents if you recently had a heart attack, angina chest pain, or heart problems. Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's should be taken with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease, hypotension (low blood pressure), diabetes. Take only one dose, taking a double dose of Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's will lead to low blood pressure (hypotension).

Lotensyl 20 Tablet 10's is known to cause ankle swelling upon long term use. Please try to keep your feet up when sitting for long hours. If the problem persists still, consult your doctor and do as advised.
