About LVC 1000 mg Tablet

LVC 1000 mg Tablet is an antibiotic that belongs to the third generation of fluoroquinolones. It is a highly effective antibiotic that works against a variety of bacteria. LVC 1000 mg Tablet is used in a variety of bacterial infections, most importantly acute pneumonia (Lung infection), bronchitis (Inflammation of the lung passages), skin infections, and urinary tract infections. A bacterial infection is a condition in which bacteria grow in the body and cause an infection. It can target any body part and multiple parts very quickly.

Dangerous bacteria can make you sick and replicate in your body quickly. Harmful bacteria create chemicals known as toxins that can harm the tissue and make you ill. LVC 1000 mg Tablet sticks to enzymes (Topoisomerase IV & DNA gyrase) responsible for the division of bacteria & stop the process of multiplication of bacteria & hence kills bacteria.

Drug Warnings

Do not take LVC 1000 mg Tablet if you are allergic or have had a severe reaction to any fluoroquinolone antibiotics such as delafloxacin, gemifloxacin, ofloxacin, moxifloxacin, and ciprofloxacin. Taking LVC 1000 mg Tablet may increase the chances of developing tendinitis (swelling of a fibrous tissue that connects a bone to a muscle) or having a tendon rupture (tearing of a fibrous tissue that connects a bone to a muscle). Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had a kidney, heart, or lung transplant, kidney disease, a joint or tendon disorder such as rheumatoid arthritis (an autoimmune disorder of joints causing pain, swelling, and loss of function), seizures (fits), epilepsy or if you participate in regular physical activity. Taking LVC 1000 mg Tablet may worsen muscle weakness in people with myasthenia gravis (a nervous system disorder that causes muscle weakness) and cause severe difficulty breathing or death. Dairy products should be avoided along with LVC 1000 mg Tablet . And also, exposure to sunlight should be avoided while taking LVC 1000 mg Tablet as it may cause increased phototoxicity or photosensitivity. Patients with epilepsy and irregular heartbeat (QT prolongation) should tell their doctor before taking LVC 1000 mg Tablet .

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Dairy products such as milk and yoghurt must be avoided for at least 2 hours before and after taking the medicine.
  • Maintaining good hygiene is essential.
  • Have more fibre-enriched food in your diet. Fibre is easily digested by your gut bacteria, which helps stimulate their growth. Thus, fibre-rich foods may help restore healthy gut bacteria after a course of antibiotics.
