Metolash 50 XL Tablet is used in the treatment of High blood pressure (hypertension), prevention of heart-related chest pain (angina), heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmia), and heart attack (myocardial infarction). The detailed uses of Metolash 50 XL Tablet are as follows:

• Treatment of Hypertension: Metolash 50 XL Tablet controls high blood pressure by reducing the heart rate and the force of contraction, thereby lowering blood pressure.
• Prevention of Heart-related Chest Pain: Metolash 50 XL Tablet prevents chest pain (angina) by reducing the workload on the heart and improving blood flow to the heart muscle.
• Control of Abnormal Heart Rhythms: Metolash 50 XL Tablet helps manage irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) by slowing the heart rate and stabilizing the heart's rhythm, reducing symptoms and improving heart function.
• Management of Heart Attack: Metolash 50 XL Tablet is used to manage heart attack (myocardial infarction) by reducing the workload on the heart and preventing further damage.

• Metolash 50 XL Tablet helps in slowing down the heart rate, making it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body.
• This medicine lowers the blood pressure and helps in reducing the risk of having a stroke, heart attack, or other heart or kidney problems in the future.
• Metolash 50 XL Tablet may also help in relieving symptoms of migraine-related headache and tremors (fits).

• Metolash 50 XL Tablet can be taken with or without food, or as advised by your doctor.
• Generally, it is recommended to be taken once daily. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and timing for optimal results.
• Swallow Metolash 50 XL Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

• Maintain a healthy body weight, ideally with a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9, as excess weight increases the risk of high blood pressure and heart disease.
• Engage in regular physical activity, aiming for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise per week (e.g., brisk walking, cycling, swimming) to help lower blood pressure by about 5–8 mmHg.
• Limit sodium intake to ≤2300 mg per day, with an ideal goal of 1500 mg daily for adults with high blood pressure or heart problems.
• If you drink alcohol, limit intake to up to 1 drink per day for women and up to 2 drinks per day for men, as excessive drinking can raise blood pressure.
• Quit smoking, as it significantly increases the risk of heart attack, stroke, and complications from high blood pressure.

• Avoid taking Metolash 50 XL Tablet if you have/had heart conduction, rhythm problems, uncontrolled/severe heart failure, blocked blood vessels, blood circulation problems, untreated pheochromocytoma, metabolic acidosis, low blood pressure, or Prinzmetal angina.
• Inform your doctor if you have asthma, COPD, diabetes, blood vessel disorder, slow heart rate, pheochromocytoma, myasthenia gravis, dry eye problems, kidney or liver impairment; if you are taking anti-depressants, other blood pressure-lowering medicines, or anti-arrhythmic agents.
• Consult your doctor before taking Metolash 50 XL Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Metolash 50 XL Tablet is not recommended for children as safety and efficacy have not been established.
• Metolash 50 XL Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive with caution.
• Don't stop taking Metolash 50 XL Tablet without consulting your doctor. Suddenly stopping the use of Metolash 50 XL Tablet may cause changes in your heart rhythm and blood pressure, cause chest pain, or a heart attack. Your doctor will gradually lower your dose to help prevent these symptoms.
