MI 100mg Tablet

MI 100mg Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, intestinal infections, respiratory infections, sexually transmitted infections, and skin infections. Besides this, MI 100mg Tablet also treats acne-like lesions caused by rosacea.

MI 100mg Tablet contains Minocycline, which inhibits the protein synthesis required for the growth of the bacterial cell. As a result, bacterial cells are not able to reproduce and grow.

You may experience headache, photosensitivity, dizziness, vomiting, itching, nausea, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of MI 100mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Before using MI 100mg Tablet, tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergy to MI 100mg Tablet, have kidney problems, liver problems, or asthma. Use of MI 100mg Tablet in pregnant and nursing mothers is not recommended.

MI 100mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. The detailed uses of MI 100mg Tablet are as follows:

• Treatment of bacterial infections: MI 100mg Tablet is primarily used to treat bacterial infections.
• Skin Infections: MI 100mg Tablet treats acne vulgaris, rosacea, and infected wounds.
• Respiratory Infections: MI 100mg Tablet is effective against bronchitis, pneumonia, and sinusitis.
• Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs): MI 100mg Tablet is used when other antibiotics are unsuitable.
• Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs): MI 100mg Tablet treats chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis (especially in penicillin-allergic patients).

• Take MI 100mg Tablet with or without food or as advised by a doctor.
• Recommended to take MI 100mg Tablet twice a day or as advised by your doctor.
• Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew it.

• MI 100mg Tablet, a tetracycline-class antibiotic, is effective against a wide variety of bacteria, including gram-positive, gram-negative, anaerobes, and certain parasites.

• Iron and antacids (like magnesium hydroxide and aluminium hydroxide) may bind to MI 100mg Tablet in the gastrointestinal tract, lowering its efficiency. So, a gap of at least 2 hours should be maintained between the intake of MI 100mg Tablet and iron supplements and antacids.
• Prolonged use of MI 100mg Tablet during tooth development (pregnancy, infancy, and childhood to the age of 8 years) may cause permanent discolouration of the teeth (yellow-grey-brown).
• Do not consume alcohol as it may cause excessive drowsiness when taken along with MI 100mg Tablet.
• Before using MI 100mg Tablet, tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergy to MI 100mg Tablet, have kidney problems, liver problems, or asthma.
• Use efficient birth control to prevent pregnancy while you are using MI 100mg Tablet.
• The use of MI 100mg Tablet causes antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if you have diarrhoea while taking MI 100mg Tablet.
• MI 100mg Tablet may cause sensitive skin to sunlight and ultraviolet rays, causing exaggerated sunburn reactions. Hence, it is advisable to apply sunscreen before going outside.
