Mompress 15 Tablet is used to treat major depressive disorder. Additionally, Mompress 15 Tablet is sometimes used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders. Depression is a mood disorder characterised by sadness, unhappiness, anger, hopelessness or loss that interferes with a person’s daily activities.

Mompress 15 Tablet contains ‘Mirtazapine’, which increases the activity of mood-enhancing chemical messengers such as serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain, which communicate between brain cells. Thus, it regulates mood and treats depression.

You are advised to take Mompress 15 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition and response to the treatment. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as sleepiness, drowsiness, weight gain, dry mouth, headache, nausea, vomiting, and tiredness. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Please do not stop taking Mompress 15 Tablet without consulting your doctor, as it could lead to recurring symptoms. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Mompress 15 Tablet is not recommended for children below 18 years as the safety and effectiveness have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Mompress 15 Tablet as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness. • Major Depressive Disorder: Mompress 15 Tablet can be utilised as part of the treatment plan for individuals suffering from major depressive disorder to alleviate symptoms of sadness, loss of interest, and fatigue.
• Anxiety Disorders: Mompress 15 Tablet may also be prescribed to help manage anxiety symptoms, making it beneficial for individuals dealing with generalised anxiety disorder or panic disorder.
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): Mompress 15 Tablet may be prescribed in combination with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) in cases of treatment-resistant OCD. It can help reduce obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours.
• Sleep Disorders: Due to its sedative properties, Mompress 15 Tablet can be helpful in treating insomnia or other sleep-related issues, helping individuals achieve better sleep quality.

Inform your doctor if you have/had epilepsy, low blood pressure, urination problems or an enlarged prostate, glaucoma, diabetes, schizophrenia, mania, dementia (memory loss), heart, kidney or liver problems. Consult your doctor immediately if you have suicidal thoughts, such as killing or harming yourself. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Mompress 15 Tablet is not recommended for children below 18 years as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Mompress 15 Tablet as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness. Rise slowly from a sitting or lying position, as Mompress 15 Tablet may cause dizziness on standing suddenly.
