About MONOPAS 150MG TABLET
MONOPAS 150MG TABLET is used to treat tuberculosis (TB). Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, primarily affecting the lungs, but it can also spread to other parts of the body, including the kidneys, brain, spine, and bone marrow. MONOPAS 150MG TABLET is ineffective for treating colds, flu, or other viral infections.
MONOPAS 150MG TABLET contains sodium aminosalicylate. It works by exerting its bacteriostatic effect against Mycobacterium tuberculosis by competing with PABA for enzymes involved in folate synthesis, thereby suppressing the growth and reproduction of the bacteria, ultimately leading to cell death.
