About MOPADAY 15MG TABLET

MOPADAY 15MG TABLET is used to treat type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes develops when the body either does not produce enough insulin or when the insulin produced does not work properly.

MOPADAY 15MG TABLET contains Pioglitazone and Metformin. Pioglitazone lowers blood sugar by helping body cells to take up free glucose from the blood. Metformin decreases blood sugar levels by reducing its formation and increasing its utilisation by cells.

Some people may experience stomachaches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, localised swelling (oedema), weight gain, headaches, respiratory infections, numbness, and taste disturbances. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

MOPADAY 15MG TABLET should not be stopped without your doctor’s advice, as suddenly stopping it can raise sugar levels and increase the risk of eye, kidney, and nerve damage. Please inform your doctor if you have any heart disease, are planning to get pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Uses of MOPADAY 15MG TABLET

MOPADAY 15MG TABLET is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. The detailed uses of MOPADAY 15MG TABLET are as follows:

  • Improves blood sugar control: MOPADAY 15MG TABLET works by helping the body utilise insulin more effectively and reducing the amount of sugar produced by the liver, resulting in improved blood sugar levels.
  • Supports Insulin Sensitivity: MOPADAY 15MG TABLET helps the body’s cells become more responsive to insulin, aiding in the effective management of type 2 diabetes.
  • Reduces risk of diabetes complications: By keeping blood sugar levels in check, MOPADAY 15MG TABLET helps lower the chances of problems like kidney disease, nerve damage, and vision issues.

Directions for Use

  • MOPADAY 15MG TABLET should be taken with food to avoid an upset stomach.
  • It should be taken at the same time of the day each time for the best results.
  • Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water.
  • Do not crush, chew, or break it.

Medicinal Benefits

  • MOPADAY 15MG TABLET is used in adults to treat type 2 (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes mellitus when treatment with metformin alone is not sufficient.
  • MOPADAY 15MG TABLET plays a vital role in controlling blood sugar levels and prevents serious complications of diabetes like eyesight loss (retinopathy), kidney (nephropathy), nerve damage (neuropathy), diabetic foot ulcer and delayed wound healing.
  • MOPADAY 15MG TABLET lowers blood sugar by activating cell switches (PPAR) to take up free glucose from the blood and use it for energy production, and decreases the production of glucose inside the liver.

How MOPADAY 15MG TABLET Works

MOPADAY 15MG TABLET contains Pioglitazone (thiazolidinedione) and Metformin (biguanide). Pioglitazone decreases blood sugar and reverses the effects of Type II diabetes by activating switches (PPAR) inside cells to take up free glucose from the blood and decrease its levels in the blood. Metformin, on the other hand, decreases blood sugar by decreasing its formation and increasing its consumption by cells, thereby decreasing high blood sugar levels.
