Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to ophthalmic eye medications primarily used to treat bacterial eye infections. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.
Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml is a combination of two antibiotics: Tobramycin and Moxifloxacin. Tobramycin works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thus, it destroys bacteria. Moxifloxacin works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme) involved in repairing and replicating bacteria's DNA (genetic material). Thus, kills bacteria and clears the infection.
Use Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience eye irritation, eye redness, watery eyes, itchy or swollen eyelids, dry eyes, and mild itching in the eye. Most of these side effects of Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml or any other medicines. Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml is not recommended for children below 1 year of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml. Drive only if your vision is clear, as Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after applying. You are advised to remove soft contact lenses before using Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml.

Symptoms include redness, itching, and discharge or crusting around the eye. A stye, or bump on the eyelid, is another common eye condition. Keratitis, or corneal inflammation, is caused by wearing contact lenses frequently, injury, diabetes, or surgery.

You should wash your hands first, tilt your head back, and gently pull the lower eyelid downwards. Then, squeeze the bottle gently by holding it upside down to instil the number of drops into the affected eye as advised by your doctor without touching the tip of the bottle to the eye or surrounding areas in order to avoid contamination. Finally, replace the cap tightly after use. After applying Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml, you are advised to close your eyes for a minimum of 2 to 3 minutes, and pressure should be applied to the corner of the eye by pressing a finger to stop eye drops from spreading into the rest of the body.
You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml. You are advised to remove contact lenses before applying Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml and reinsert after 15 minutes of using Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml.

Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml is not used to treat fungal infection in the eye. Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml is only used to treat bacterial eye infections.
You are not recommended to stop using Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml without consulting your doctor as it may worsen the infection. Therefore, use Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it, and if you experience any difficulty while taking Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml, please consult your doctor.
