It is effectively used to treat eye inflammation caused by allergies, shingles, severe acne, iritis (inflammation of the coloured part of the eye (iris)), uveitis (inflammation of the middle layer of the eye (uvea)), eye injury, radiation, and chemical burns. It contains Moxifloxacin and Loteprednol, which kill bacteria and block the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers that make the eye red, swollen, and itchy). Thus, it prevents the spread of eye infections caused by bacteria and reduces inflammation and pain. It may cause common side effects such as redness in the eyes, blurred vision, burning or stinging sensation in the eye, and eye discomfort. Before using this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
