About Muscoflex Gel

Muscoflex Gel is used to relieve acute musculoskeletal pain and pain of osteoarthritis of joints. It reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness, thereby improving your ability to move and flex the joint.

Muscoflex Gel contains diclofenac, methyl salicylate, linseed oil, and menthol. Muscoflex Gel works by first cooling the skin and then warming it up, which interferes with the pain signal transmission through nerves.

Some common side effects of Muscoflex Gel are burning, itching, redness, stinging, and dryness on your skin in the place where Muscoflex Gel is applied. These side effects are usually mild and short-lived. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Muscoflex Gel should be used for skin only, and if it accidentally gets into your eye, mouth, or nose, rinse with water. Muscoflex Gel is contraindicated in children below two years of age. In addition, caution must be exercised when treating older children (2-12 years).

  • Muscoflex Gel is for topical (skin surface) use only.
  • It is typically applied 3-4 times daily, or as directed by your doctor.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water before applying Muscoflex Gel. Apply a small amount of Muscoflex Gel to the affected area with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab and gently rub it in.
  • Avoid taking a shower for at least 1 hour after application.
  • If Muscoflex Gel accidentally comes in contact with your eyes, mouth, or nose, rinse with water thoroughly.
  • Do not apply it to open wounds, or use external heat or occlusive dressings on the treated joints.

What if I have taken an overdose of Muscoflex Gel
