About Mycidac-C Injection
Mycidac-C Injection belongs to the group of medicines called immunotherapeutic agents used to treat leprosy. It is used to treat advanced non-small-cell lung cancer in combination with other medicines and as adjuvant therapy in sepsis. Leprosy is an infection caused by slow-growing bacteria called Mycobacterium leprae.
Mycidac-C Injection contains Mycobacterium W and Sodium chloride. Mycidac-C Injection works by altering the biological response or modifying the actions of the immune system of individuals to various pathological conditions.
Mycidac-C Injection should be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience some common side effects like injection site erythema (redness) and ulceration, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, pain, weakness and loss of appetite. Most of these side effects of Mycidac-C Injection do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, reach out to your doctor.
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not known whether Mycidac-C Injection alters the ability to drive; do not drive or operate machinery if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. In rare cases, Mycidac-C Injection may cause constipation as a minor side effect. To prevent constipation, consume fibre rich foods such as whole grains, broccoli, dried fruits, nuts, beans, apples, oranges, and pears.
It is not recommended to take Mycidac-C Injection if you have a fever. Let your doctor know if you have a fever before taking Mycidac-C Injection . Your doctor may reschedule the dosing interval or prescribe only if the benefits outweigh the risks.
Mycidac-C Injection may cause erythema and ulceration of the skin at the injection site, which is usually mild and can be self-healing. If the condition is not cured, please reach out to your healthcare professional.
