About Naprosyn+ Gel
Naprosyn+ Gel is used locally to reduce pain and swelling in muscles and joints in conditions such as the stiff neck, tendon inflammation, muscle pain, bursitis, lumbar pain, strained muscles, bruises, swelling of tendons, periarthritis and hematoma.
Naprosyn+ Gel contains Naproxen, which works by blocking the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme in the body, that is involved in the production of certain chemical substances called prostaglandins that cause pain and swelling.
In some cases, you may experience redness, itching, skin irritation, burning or heat sensation/ warmth at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are known to be allergic to Naprosyn+ Gel or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Naprosyn+ Gel is not recommended for children below 12 years of age. Naprosyn+ Gel is not recommended for pregnant women, especially in the third trimester, as it may cause harm to the baby.

Naprosyn+ Gel belongs to a class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Naprosyn+ Gel is used locally to reduce pain and swelling in muscles and joints in conditions such as the stiff neck, tendinitis (inflammation of tendons), myalgia (muscle pain), bursitis (inflammation of small fluid-filled sacs called bursae near a tendon or joint), lumbar pain, strained muscles, bruises, tenosynovitis (swelling of tendons), periarthritis (inflammation around joint) and hematoma (clotted blood that forms in a tissue, organ or body space).
Naprosyn+ Gel works by blocking the action of prostaglandins that cause pain and swelling. Thereby, helps in relieving pain and swelling.
Naprosyn+ Gel may cause photosensitivity (extreme sensitivity to UV rays from sun and other sources of light) as a side effect. In order to avoid photosensitivity reactions, you are recommended to avoid exposure to direct sunlight, including tanning lamps or beds, solarium, while using Naprosyn+ Gel and for 2 weeks after treatment with Naprosyn+ Gel.
No, you are not recommended to apply Naprosyn+ Gel on wounds, skin lesions, broken, irritated or infected skin. However, please consult a doctor if you have any concerns.
