Naprosyn+ Gel 35 gm

Naprosyn+ Gel is used locally to reduce pain and swelling in muscles and joints in conditions such as the stiff neck, tendon inflammation, muscle pain, bursitis, lumbar pain, strained muscles, bruises, swelling of tendons, periarthritis and hematoma.

Naprosyn+ Gel contains Naproxen, which works by blocking the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme in the body, that is involved in the production of certain chemical substances called prostaglandins that cause pain and swelling.

In some cases, you may experience redness, itching, skin irritation, burning or heat sensation/ warmth at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. 

If you are known to be allergic to Naprosyn+ Gel or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Naprosyn+ Gel is not recommended for children below 12 years of age. Naprosyn+ Gel is not recommended for pregnant women, especially in the third trimester, as it may cause harm to the baby.

Naprosyn+ Gel is used to relieve pain and inflammation in muscles and joints. The detailed uses of Naprosyn+ Gel are as follows:

• Muscle pain (myalgia) : Naprosyn+ Gel relieves localized muscle aches and discomfort.
• Lower back pain (lumbago) : Naprosyn+ Gel helps reduce inflammation and pain in the lower back region.
• Relief from stiff neck: Naprosyn+ Gel is used to reduce tension and soreness in the neck muscles.
• Bursitis: Naprosyn+ Gel treats inflammation of the bursa around joints or tendons.
• Management of tendinitis and tenosynovitis: Naprosyn+ Gel relieves pain and swelling caused by inflammation of tendons and their sheaths.
• Periarthritis: Naprosyn+ Gel helps reduce inflammation surrounding joints.
• Relief from muscle strain, contusion, and hematoma: Naprosyn+ Gel is used to control pain and swelling caused by muscle injuries and bruising.
• Support in rehabilitation after trauma or orthopedic surgery: Naprosyn+ Gel is used in conjunction with therapy to aid in recovery from injuries or surgical operations.

• It is advised to apply Naprosyn+ Gel twice daily; however, follow your doctor’s recommendation regarding the dosage and duration.
• Apply it as a thin layer to the affected area, and gently massage it into the skin until fully absorbed.
• Naprosyn+ Gel is only for external use.
• Do not apply Naprosyn+ Gel to broken skin, open wounds, or near the eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes.

• Naprosyn+ Gel is used locally to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling in muscles and joints.
• It is effective in treating conditions such as stiff neck, tendinitis (inflammation of tendons), myalgia (muscle pain), bursitis (inflammation of bursae), lumbar pain, strained muscles, bruises, tenosynovitis, and periarthritis (inflammation around joints).
• It also helps in managing hematoma (clotted blood accumulation in tissues or organs) by reducing pain and promoting healing.
• Naprosyn+ Gel provides targeted pain relief when applied to the affected area, improving comfort and mobility.
• It may be used as an adjuvant therapy in rehabilitation following orthopaedic surgery or trauma to support faster recovery and restore joint and muscle function.

• If you are known to be allergic to Naprosyn+ Gel or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.
• Naprosyn+ Gel is not recommended for children below 12 years of age.
• Naprosyn+ Gel is not recommended for pregnant women, especially in the third trimester, as it may cause harm to the baby. Therefore, pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised to consult a doctor before taking Naprosyn+ Gel.
• If you have severe allergic reactions after taking medicines containing acetylsalicylic acid or NSAIDs, inform your doctor before starting Naprosyn+ Gel.
• Avoid direct exposure to sunlight while using Naprosyn+ Gel and for 2 weeks after treatment with Naprosyn+ Gel to avoid photosensitive reactions.
• Avoid using Naprosyn+ Gel in more than the prescribed doses as it may cause adverse effects.
