About Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm

Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any eye part, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.

Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Nebracin Eye/Skin Ointment 5 gm are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). Directions for Use

Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.Eye cream/ointment: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the cream/ointment into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
