Nexoage-LS Tablet is used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Gastroesophageal reflux disease occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus); this causes acidity, pain and heartburn.

Nexoage-LS Tablet contains Esomeprazole and Levosulpiride. Esomeprazole works by preventing the production of stomach acid. Levosulpiride works by increasing the stomach and intestinal movement and preventing the backflow of food and acid into the mouth.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhoea, flatulence, nausea and vomiting. You are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Nexoage-LS Tablet should not be given to children as safety has not been established.

• Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD): Nexoage-LS Tablet is used to treat acid reflux, heartburn, and irritation of the food pipe (oesophagus).
• Acidity: Nexoage-LS Tablet helps to reduce excessive stomach acid production and related discomfort.
• Heartburn: Nexoage-LS Tablet treats the burning sensation in the chest due to acid reflux.
• Peptic ulcers: Nexoage-LS Tablet helps in the healing of ulcers in the stomach and upper intestine by lowering acid production.
• Indigestion: Nexoage-LS Tablet improves digestion by reducing acid and promoting normal stomach movement.

• Nexoage-LS Tablet should be taken 1 hour before a meal, preferably in the morning.
• It is usually taken once daily or as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow Nexoage-LS Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.

• Do not take Nexoage-LS Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents, if you are taking nelfinavir (anti-HIV), if you have a gastrointestinal haemorrhage, mechanical obstruction or perforation, epilepsy, mania, porphyria, or cardiac impairment.
• Inform your doctor before taking Nexoage-LS Tablet if you have severe liver or kidney problems; if you are due to have a Chromogranin A test; if you experience unexplained weight loss, stomach pain, indigestion, vomiting food or blood, or if you pass black stools.
• On long-term treatment, Nexoage-LS Tablet may increase the risk of bone fractures.
• Do not take Nexoage-LS Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Nexoage-LS Tablet may cause dizziness and drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert.
• Nexoage-LS Tablet should not be given to children as safety has not been established.
• Avoid consuming alcohol along with Nexoage-LS Tablet as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can elevate the production of stomach acid.
