Novamox Drops 10 ml

Your doctor may prescribe Novamox Drops to help manage the following conditions:

• Ear, nose, and throat infections: It targets and clears bacterial growth in the middle ear, sinuses, and tonsils, reducing painful swelling and congestion.
• Chest and airway infections: It helps resolve lower respiratory tract issues such as bronchitis and pneumonia, relieving coughs and breathing difficulties.
• Urinary tract infections: It eliminates bacteria in the bladder and kidneys, stopping the painful burning sensation during urination.
• Skin and soft tissue infections: It treats bacterial skin conditions, helping to reduce redness, pain, and localised swelling.

Novamox Drops helps your child recover from a susceptible bacterial infection by clearing the bacteria responsible for the illness.

• Helps your child feel better as the infection clears: Symptoms such as fever, pain, swelling, cough, or discomfort may gradually improve as the bacterial infection responds to treatment.
• Helps prevent the infection from getting worse: Effective treatment helps control the infection and reduces the risk of bacteria continuing to multiply or spreading to other parts of the body.
• Supports a complete recovery: Taking the prescribed course helps clear susceptible bacteria and lowers the chance of the infection returning because treatment was stopped too early.
• Provides an easy option for children: Once prepared, the dry syrup can be measured as a liquid, making it suitable for children who may have difficulty swallowing tablets or capsules.

• Novamox Drops can be administered with or without food as advised by the doctor.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Reconstitute by adding the specified amount of sterile water as instructed on the label, and administer the prescribed dose using the provided measuring spoon/dropper/oral syringe.
• The reconstituted syrup should be used within a specified period. Please refer to the label for the exact details.

• Keep your child hydrated: Offer water and other age-appropriate fluids regularly, especially if your child has fever, vomiting, or diarrhoea. If there is significant fluid loss, your child's doctor may recommend an oral rehydration solution.
• Continue their usual balanced diet: Your child can generally eat their normal age-appropriate foods while taking Novamox Drops. If they have nausea or stomach discomfort, smaller meals may be easier to tolerate.
• Allow time for recovery: Encourage adequate sleep and rest while your child is unwell. Normal activities can be resumed gradually as they feel better.
• Avoid cigarette smoke and other irritants: Smoke can irritate the airways and worsen symptoms such as coughing, particularly when your child has a respiratory infection.
• Practise good hygiene: Encourage regular handwashing and follow hygiene measures appropriate to your child's infection to help reduce the spread of germs.

• Give Novamox Drops for the prescribed duration: Continue the medicine according to your child's treatment plan, even if they start feeling better. Do not change the dose or stop treatment early without advice from the prescribing doctor.
• Prepare the dry syrup as directed: The amount and type of water used to prepare amoxicillin dry syrup can vary between products. Follow the instructions supplied with the medicine or ask your pharmacist how to prepare it.
• Shake well before each dose: Shake the prepared liquid thoroughly before measuring each dose so the medicine is evenly distributed.
• Watch for allergic reactions: Seek urgent medical help if your child develops difficulty breathing or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. Contact the doctor promptly if your child develops a significant or worsening rash.
• Do not share the medicine: Novamox Drops should only be given to the child for whom it was prescribed. Another child with similar symptoms may have a different infection or may not need an antibiotic.
