Nu Patch Transdermal Patch belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). It is used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with tennis elbow, arthritis, scapular inflammation, tendovaginitis, peritendinitis, swelling and pain after trauma, and myalgia. Musculoskeletal pain could occur due to arthritis, osteoporosis, fractures, dislocations, problems with the bone structure or injury to the bones, joints, tendons, muscles, and ligaments.

Nu Patch Transdermal Patch contains Diclofenac diethylamine, which works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical, prostaglandin. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, fewer prostaglandins are produced; this helps in reducing mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site.

In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as application site reactions like itching, redness, rash and dryness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Nu Patch Transdermal Patch is for external use only. Notify your doctor if you have had any recent heart surgery. Consult a doctor before using Nu Patch Transdermal Patch if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not apply Nu Patch Transdermal Patch to open wounds, cuts, scrapes, or damaged skin. Avoid using Nu Patch Transdermal Patch if you are during the perioperative period in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft surgery.

The detailed uses of Nu Patch Transdermal Patch are as follows: <br/> • Relief of muscle pain: Nu Patch Transdermal Patch helps reduce pain caused by muscle strain, overuse, or mild injuries.<br/> • Treatment of joint inflammation: It reduces swelling, stiffness, and discomfort in joints affected by osteoarthritis or other inflammatory conditions.<br/> • Management of backache: Nu Patch Transdermal Patch provides localised relief from lower or upper back pain.<br/> • Support in sprains and strains: Reduces pain and inflammation due to ligament or muscle injuries.<br/> • Relief of sports injuries: Nu Patch Transdermal Patch is commonly used to treat minor injuries caused by physical exercise.<br/> • Control of soft tissue inflammation: It reduces inflammation in tendons, ligaments, and soft tissues, including tendinitis and bursitis. <br/>

• One patch to be applied for one day or as advised by your doctor.
• Apply the patch directly onto the affected area of your skin. Make sure the skin is clean, dry, and free from any cuts or irritation before applying the patch. Press it gently to ensure it sticks well.
• Apply immediately after removing the protective covering. Do not cut the patch.

Avoid using Nu Patch Transdermal Patch if you are during the perioperative period in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft surgery. Nu Patch Transdermal Patch may increase the risk of a fatal heart attack or stroke. So, if you have had any recent heart surgery, do not use Nu Patch Transdermal Patch. Inform your doctor if you have peptic ulcers, heart surgery, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, stomach ulcers, bleeding problems, asthma, fluid retention, inflammatory bowel disease, kidney or liver problems. Consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
