Ofel CT Oral Suspension

Ofel CT Oral Suspension may be prescribed to treat the following infections: 

• Bacterial diarrhoea and dysentery: It targets and eliminates the harmful bacteria and parasites in the digestive tract that cause painful abdominal cramps and loose, watery, or bloody stools.
• Gastrointestinal infections: It clears mixed infections in the stomach and intestines, helping to relieve bloating, gas, and abdominal pain.
• Gynaecological infections: It treats infections of the female reproductive system by destroying both oxygen-tolerant and oxygen-sensitive bacteria.
• Dental infections: It resolves deep tooth abscesses and severe gum infections, relieving severe dental pain and swelling.

Ofel CT Oral Suspension combines two antimicrobial medicines that work together to treat a broad range of bacterial and parasitic infections. This dual-action approach helps provide effective symptom relief and supports a faster recovery.

Always take Ofel CT Oral Suspension exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change your dose or stop taking it early without consulting them.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet, as this can affect how the medicine is absorbed and cause an unpleasant taste.
• Take this medicine with food or immediately after a meal to protect your stomach from irritation or nausea.
• Space your doses evenly throughout the day to keep a constant level of the medicine in your system.

• Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids, such as water, clear broths, or oral rehydration solutions (ORS), to replace lost fluids and prevent dehydration caused by diarrhoea.
• Avoid all alcohol: Do not consume alcohol during your treatment and for at least 3 days after finishing Ofel CT Oral Suspension to avoid severe, dangerous interactions.
• Eat simple, bland foods: Stick to easily digestible foods like rice, bananas, applesauce, and plain toast. Avoid dairy products, spicy dishes, and highly fatty foods until your digestive tract has fully recovered.
• Protect yourself from the sun: This medicine can make your skin highly sensitive to sunlight. Wear protective clothing, sunglasses, and a broad-spectrum sunscreen when spending time outdoors.

• Complete the Full Course: Do not skip doses or stop taking Ofel CT Oral Suspension early, even if you feel better, as this may cause the infection to return and increase the risk of antibiotic resistance.
• Inspect Before Use: Check the medication packaging before use and do not take the tablets if the blister seal is broken or the tablets appear damaged or discoloured.
• Avoid Certain Antacids and Supplements: Do not take antacids containing magnesium or aluminium, or supplements containing iron, calcium, or zinc, within two hours of taking this medicine, as they may reduce its absorption.
• Watch for Tendon Problems: Rest the affected area and contact your doctor immediately if you develop sudden pain, swelling, or tenderness in a tendon, particularly around the ankle, knee, or wrist.
• Use Caution When Driving: Avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing tasks that require alertness if you feel dizzy or lightheaded after taking this medicine.
