Your doctor may prescribe Oncet CF Syrup to help manage the following conditions:

• Common Cold and Flu Symptoms: It effectively relieves runny nose, continuous sneezing, watery eyes, and nasal congestion, helping your child breathe and sleep more easily.
• Fever: It works on the brain centres to lower high body temperature, providing relief from fever associated with infections.
• Mild to Moderate Pain: It helps soothe discomforts such as headaches, sore throat, earaches, and body aches commonly experienced during a viral cold.

Oncet CF Syrup helps relieve several cold and allergy symptoms at the same time, helping your child feel more comfortable while they recover.

• Improves comfort during fever and minor aches: Paracetamol lowers fever and relieves mild pain, which can help your child feel more comfortable and rest better.
• Makes it easier to breathe through the nose: Phenylephrine reduces swelling inside the nasal passages, providing temporary relief from a blocked or stuffy nose.
• Relieves runny nose and sneezing: Chlorpheniramine helps control symptoms such as a runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes, particularly when these symptoms are related to allergies.
• Provides relief from multiple symptoms in one medicine: The combination addresses fever or mild pain together with nasal congestion and allergy-related symptoms, reducing the need for separate medicines containing these ingredients.

• Oncet CF Syrup can be administered with or without food as directed by the doctor.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Administer the prescribed dose to the child using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper.
• Shake well before use.

• Offer enough fluids: Encourage your child to drink water, warm fluids, or other age-appropriate drinks regularly. Warm liquids may help soothe an irritated throat and make mucus easier to clear.
• Use saline for a blocked nose: Saline nasal drops or spray can help loosen dried mucus and keep the nasal passages moist. Use a product suitable for your child's age.
• Keep the air comfortable: A cool-mist humidifier may help if indoor air is dry. Clean the humidifier regularly according to the manufacturer's instructions to prevent the growth of mould and bacteria.
• Encourage rest: Allow your child enough sleep and quiet time while they are unwell, with a gradual return to normal activities as they feel better.
• Avoid smoke and other irritants: Keep your child away from cigarette smoke, dust, strong fragrances, and other irritants that may worsen coughing or nasal and throat irritation.

• Check other medicines before giving them: Always double-check the label of any other cold, cough, or allergy medicine you are giving your child to ensure it does not also contain paracetamol.
• Measure each dose carefully: Use the oral syringe, measuring cup, or other dosing device supplied or recommended with the medicine. Do not use a household spoon, as it may not measure the dose accurately.
• Watch for drowsiness: Chlorpheniramine can make some children sleepy or less alert. If your child is affected, avoid activities such as cycling or other activities that require good coordination and attention.
• Give only the recommended dose: Follow the dose and dosing interval prescribed or recommended for your child. Do not give extra doses if symptoms continue, as too much paracetamol can cause serious liver damage.
• Know when to seek medical advice: Consult your doctor if your child's symptoms worsen, do not improve as expected, or are accompanied by difficulty breathing, unusual drowsiness, dehydration, or a persistent high fever.
