About Opthodex N Eye Drop
Opthodex N Eye Drop is a combination of steroids and antibiotics primarily used to treat eye inflammation caused by uveitis, eye injury, chemical burns, radiation, or certain other conditions. It is also used when there is a risk of bacterial infection in or around the eye. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (the white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.
Opthodex N Eye Drop is a combination of two drugs: Neomycin (antibiotic) and Dexamethasone (steroid). Neomycin belongs to the class of antibiotics that inhibits the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers, thereby killing bacteria. On the other hand, Dexamethasone belongs to the class of steroids that inhibit the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling in the eyes. Thereby, it reduces redness and swelling caused by bacterial infections.
Use Opthodex N Eye Drop as prescribed by your doctor. Opthodex N Eye Drop is only for external use. You are advised to use Opthodex N Eye Drop for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition.
