About Oxabenz-50 Injection

Oxabenz-50 Injection belongs to the group of medicines called platinum-containing antineoplastic agents used alone or in combination with other anti-cancer medicines to treat cancer of the large bowel/intestine (advanced colon or colorectal cancer).

Oxabenz-50 Injection contains Oxaliplatin, which works by killing the cancer cells. Thereby, it helps treat cancer.

In some cases, Oxabenz-50 Injection may cause side effects such as mild nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, and headache. The detailed uses of Oxabenz-50 Injection are as follows:<br/>• Stage III colon cancer: Oxabenz-50 Injection is used to treat colon cancer after surgical removal of the tumor, to reduce the risk of recurrence.<br/>• Advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer: Oxabenz-50 Injection is used to treat metastatic colorectal cancer as part of first-line or second-line therapy.<br/>

Do not use Oxabenz-50 Injection if you are allergic to any of its components, if you are breastfeeding, have a low blood cell count, have severe kidney problems, tingling and numbness in the fingers/toes, and have difficulty performing fragile tasks, such as buttoning clothes.
