Panbrom Eye Drop is used to reduce eye inflammation after cataract surgery in adults. Eye inflammation after cataract surgery is a common condition in which eyes become swollen and red.
Panbrom Eye Drop contains Bromfenac, which works by inhibiting the release of certain natural substances, such as prostaglandins in the eye, that cause pain and swelling. Thus, it helps in relieving eye pain and swelling after cataract surgery.
Use Panbrom Eye Drop as prescribed. Panbrom Eye Drop is only for use in the eyes. Do not swallow or inject Panbrom Eye Drop. Your doctor will advise you on how many drops to instil based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience mild eye irritation, headache, seeing floaters or flashes of light before the eyes, or increased sensitivity of the eyes to light. Most of these side effects of Panbrom Eye Drop do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Panbrom Eye Drop or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Panbrom Eye Drop is not recommended for children. You are not advised to use Panbrom Eye Drop if you are pregnant, especially in the last 3 months of pregnancy, as it may harm the unborn baby. You are advised to remove soft contact lenses before using Panbrom Eye Drop as it may cause discolouration of the soft contact lens. You are advised to maintain a 5-minute time gap between using Panbrom Eye Drop and other eye drops. Please do not touch the container's tip to the eye, eyelids, or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Panbrom Eye Drop and cause eye infections. Panbrom Eye Drop contains Bromfenac that prevents the release of certain natural substances such as prostaglandins in the eye that cause pain and swelling. Thereby, helps in relieving eye pain and swelling after cataract surgery.
You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using Panbrom Eye Drop as it contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that changes the colour of the contact lens as it may be absorbed by a soft contact lens. Benzalkonium chloride also causes irritation in the eye especially if you have disorders of the cornea (transparent layer at the front of the eye) or dry eyes. Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before applying Panbrom Eye Drop and reinsert after 15 minutes of using Panbrom Eye Drop. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using Panbrom Eye Drop.
You are recommended to maintain a minimum of 10-15 minutes time gap between using Panbrom Eye Drop and other eye drops. However, please consult a doctor before using other medicines with Panbrom Eye Drop.
Panbrom Eye Drop may cause temporary blurred vision. Therefore, you are recommended to wait until your vision is clear before driving or operating heavy machinery.
You are not recommended to stop using Panbrom Eye Drop without consulting your doctor as it may rarely flare-up inflammatory response such as retina swelling. Therefore, use Panbrom Eye Drop for as long as your doctor has prescribed it, and if you experience any difficulty while taking Panbrom Eye Drop, please consult your doctor.
No, Panbrom Eye Drop need not be refrigerated. However, it should be stored at temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to create a pocket. Administer the number of drops as advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. Please do not touch the container tip to the eye, eyelids, or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Panbrom Eye Drop and cause eye infections.
