About Perinorm Syrup

Perinorm Syrup is an antiemetic medicine. It is used to treat nausea and vomiting (being sick) in infants and children. It also helps treat indigestion. In children, vomiting is a symptom of milk intolerance or food allergy.

Perinorm Syrup contains metoclopramide, which belongs to prokinetic agents. It works by blocking the messages between the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) and the vomiting centre in the brain. This helps prevent and treat nausea and vomiting.

Perinorm Syrup may cause dry mouth as a side effect. This can resolve over time. If this side effect worsens or bothers your child, please consult your paediatrician. Perinorm Syrup should be given as advised by your doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose to the child. Perinorm Syrup can be given with or without food. Your paediatrician will decide the dose of the medicine depending on the severity of the condition.
