Your doctor may prescribe Posoxil-GR 300 Tablet 10's to prevent or treat certain fungal infections, including:

• Prevention of invasive fungal infections: Helps prevent fungal infections in people with severely weakened immune systems, such as those receiving certain types of chemotherapy or undergoing a stem cell transplant.
• Invasive aspergillosis: Treats fungal infections caused by Aspergillus, including infections that have not improved with or cannot be treated using other antifungal medicines.
• Other difficult-to-treat fungal infections: May be used to treat certain fungal infections, such as fusariosis, when other antifungal treatments have not worked or are not suitable.
• Fungal infections of the mouth and throat: Certain formulations may be used to treat oral thrush when other antifungal medicines have not worked or are not suitable.

When used as prescribed, Posoxil-GR 300 Tablet 10's may provide the following benefits:

• Helps protect people at high risk: Reduces the risk of invasive fungal infections in people whose immune systems are severely weakened.
• Helps control difficult fungal infections: Stops fungi from growing and spreading, giving the body a better chance to fight the infection.
• Supports recovery: Treating or preventing fungal infections may help reduce infection-related symptoms and support recovery during treatment for other health conditions.
• Helps prevent complications: Early and effective control of fungal infections may reduce the risk of the infection spreading to other parts of the body.

• Posoxil-GR 300 Tablet 10's should be taken with food, preferably a high-fat meal, to ensure proper absorption.
• It is recommended to take Posoxil-GR 300 Tablet 10's twice on the first day, then once daily afterward, or as advised by your doctor.
• Swallow Posoxil-GR 300 Tablet 10's as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

• Take with high-fat meals: Whenever possible, take your tablet with a full meal or a high-fat snack, as this helps your body absorb the medicine more efficiently.
• Avoid grapefruit: Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while taking Posoxil-GR 300 Tablet 10's, as it can raise the levels of the medicine in your blood to unsafe levels.
• Practice strict hygiene: Wash your hands frequently and keep your living spaces clean to minimise exposure to environmental moulds and fungi, especially if your immune system is weak.
• Avoid dusty environments: Stay away from construction sites, soil, agricultural areas, or dusty places where fungal spores are highly concentrated in the air.

• Complete the full course: Continue taking Posoxil-GR 300 Tablet 10's for the full duration prescribed by your doctor, even if you start to feel better. Stopping treatment early may allow the fungal infection to return or become more difficult to treat.
• Attend regular liver checks: Your doctor may order blood tests to monitor your liver function during treatment.
• Attend blood level tests if advised: Your doctor may sometimes measure the amount of posaconazole in your blood to check that you are receiving enough medicine and reduce the risk of treatment failure or side effects.
• Report changes in your heartbeat: Consult your doctor right away if you experience a fast, pounding, fluttering, or irregular heartbeat.
• Share your complete medicine list: Tell your doctor about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and supplements you take, as posaconazole can interact with several medicines.
• Tell your doctor about kidney problems: Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems. Your doctor will consider your kidney function and the formulation being used when planning your treatment.
• Use in children only as prescribed: Posaconazole may be used in certain children, but the suitable formulation and dose depend on factors such as age, weight, and the condition being treated. Give Posoxil-GR 300 Tablet 10's to a child only under medical supervision.
• Ask about other formulations if you cannot take oral medicine: Posaconazole is also available as an intravenous (IV) infusion, which may be given in a hospital or healthcare setting when oral treatment is not suitable.
