Pregadoc Plus Capsule 10's

Pregadoc Plus Capsule is used for the management of neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease that causes nerve pain due to nerve damage or a malfunctioning nervous system. Symptoms of neuropathic pain include shooting and burning pain followed by tingling and numbness (loss of sensation). Neuropathic pain can be caused by amputation of limbs, diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage due to excess blood sugar level), excessive alcohol intake (alcoholism) and cancer treatment via chemotherapy.

Pregadoc Plus Capsule contains Pregabalin (anticonvulsant), Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), Alpha-lipoic acid (antioxidant), Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), and Folic acid (vitamin B9). Pregabalin affects the chemicals in the brain that send pain signals to the nervous system, thereby relieving nerve pain and lowering the risk of seizures (fits). Methylcobalamin and Pyridoxine hydrochloride help rejuvenate and protect damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Alpha-lipoic acid helps in providing a protective effect on the nerve tissues and the brain. Folic acid helps in delivering essential nutrients to the nerves. Together, Pregadoc Plus Capsule provides relief from neuropathic pain.

Use Pregadoc Plus Capsule as prescribed by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, nausea, and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Please do not stop taking Pregadoc Plus Capsule without consulting your doctor, as it could cause withdrawal symptoms. Consult your doctor before starting Pregadoc Plus Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Pregadoc Plus Capsule may cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Pregadoc Plus Capsule as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. Pregadoc Plus Capsule should not be given to children as safety and effectiveness have not been established.

Do not take Pregadoc Plus Capsule if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking Pregadoc Plus Capsule if you have/had heart problems or bipolar syndrome. Please do not stop taking Pregadoc Plus Capsule without consulting your doctor as it could cause withdrawal symptoms. Do not take Pregadoc Plus Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Pregadoc Plus Capsule causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Pregadoc Plus Capsule as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. Drug-Drug Interaction: Pregadoc Plus Capsule may have interaction with antidepressants (amitriptyline, duloxetine), pain killers (codeine, morphine, tramadol), anti-convulsant (gabapentin, phenobarbital), anti-anxiety (diazepam), anti-diabetic (metformin), immunosuppressant (methotrexate), anti-rheumatoid (sulfasalazine), antibiotic (chloramphenicol), anti-cancer (altretamine), and anti-Parkinson’s (levodopa).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking Pregadoc Plus Capsule as it might cause increased dizziness and sleepiness.

Drug-Disease Interaction:  Pregadoc Plus Capsule may have interactions with disease conditions, such as suicidal tendencies, angioedema, creatine kinase elevations, peripheral oedema, malabsorption, and anaemia.

• Include food rich in vitamin B and D in your diet.

• Include cayenne pepper in your diet as it can help in lowering neuropathic pain.

• Exercising regularly helps in improving overall health and combating pain. 

• Rest well, and get plenty of sleep.

• Try taking a warm bath as it can be soothing.

• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.

• Meditation and yoga can help lower stress, decrease pain sensitivity and improves coping skills.

• Acupuncture can be helpful by stimulating pressure points.

• Using essential oils for massages can help increase circulation.

Neuropathic pain: It is a nervous disorder that occurs due to nerve damage caused by chronic progressive nerve disease, limb amputation, diabetes or due to infection or injury. The pain could be intermittent or continuous, and it could feel like a prickling, stabbing, tingling, or burning sensation. A feeling of numbness and loss of sensation is also common with neuropathic pain. Usually, the body sends the pain signals when there is an injury, but with neuropathic pain, the pain that is not triggered by an injury, the body sends the pain signals unpromptedly. Symptoms include spontaneous, un-triggered pain, unpleasant feeling, shooting, burning or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping, and evoked pain (pain caused by events that are usually not painful).
