About Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's

Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's is indicated in the treatment of hyperlipidemia (high lipid levels), mixed dyslipidemia (low good cholesterol and high bad cholesterol and triglycerides), hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) and hypertriglyceridemia (high levels of triglycerides).

Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's contains atorvastatin and fenofibrate. Atorvastatin reduces cholesterol production in the liver. Most of these side effects of Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's is used to manage high lipid levels and lower the risk of cardiovascular problems. The detailed uses of Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's are as follows:

  • High cholesterol: Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's reduces high levels of total cholesterol and LDL (bad cholesterol) in the blood.

  • Dyslipidemia: Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's manages abnormal levels of cholesterol and triglycerides together.
  • Prevention of heart disease: Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's lowers the risk of heart attacks by managing lipid profiles.
  • Prevention of blood vessel blockage: Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's helps prevent atherosclerosis by reducing plaque buildup in arteries.

Directions for Use

• It can be taken with or without food as advised by a doctor. • Adhere to your doctor's guidance regarding the dosage and timing of this medication for optimal effectiveness. • Swallow Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's as a whole with a glass of water. • Do not crush, chew, or break it.

Medicinal Benefits

  • It helps lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and increases the level of good cholesterol (HDL) in dyslipidemia or hyperlipidemia.
  • Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's also lowers the amount of fat or cholesterol deposition (plaque) in the arteries of the heart, thereby reducing the chance of having a heart attack or stroke in the future.
  • Balances abnormal lipid profiles by lowering triglycerides and LDL while increasing high-density lipoprotein (HDL or 'good cholesterol').
  • It increases the uptake and breakdown of LDL cholesterol in the liver. It suppresses the production of very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), thereby reducing overall bad cholesterol levels in the blood.
  • Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's enhances the activity of lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that breaks down fats in the bloodstream. It also helps reduce uric acid levels by promoting its excretion through urine.
  • It reduces the chances of complications such as heart attack, stroke, and angina (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart) due to high cholesterol levels.

How Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's Works

Redustat-Plus 10/160 Tablet 10's is composed of two medicines, namely: Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication that blocks the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase required to make cholesterol in the body. As a result, it lowers the bad cholesterol (low-density lipoproteins or LDL) and triglycerides (TG) and increases the levels of good cholesterol (high-density lipoproteins or HDL). Fenofibrate is another lipid-lowering agent that works by increasing the natural substance (lipoprotein lipase) that breaks down fats in the bloodstream, thereby increasing its utilization and removal. As a result, it decreases harmful cholesterol like LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides (TG) and increases levels of HDL (good cholesterol).

Storage

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight. • Keep out of sight and reach of children. • Non cold chain - To be stored in cool places at 10ºC to 25ºC or below 30ºC.
