Renepenem 200 Tablet is used in the treatment of several bacterial infections of the urinary tract, respiratory tract, skin, ears, nose, and gynaecological infections. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection.

Renepenem 200 Tablet contains Faropenem, an antibiotic that kills bacteria (bactericidal) by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) that is necessary for their survival.

In some cases, you may experience nausea, diarrhoea, stomach pain, and rash. Most of these side effects of Renepenem 200 Tablet do not require medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Renepenem 200 Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before taking Renepenem 200 Tablet. Consult your doctor if you experience symptoms such as easy bleeding, loss of appetite, tongue swelling, or stomatitis (inflammation and sores in the mouth).

• Bacterial infections: Renepenem 200 Tablet is generally prescribed for bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial growth and killing bacteria, helping the body fight infections like pneumonia and urinary tract infections.
• Respiratory infections: Renepenem 200 Tablet helps to treat respiratory infections like pneumonia and bronchitis by targeting the causative bacteria.
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs): Renepenem 200 Tablet involved in managing UTIs by targeting and eliminating the bacteria causing the infection, relieving symptoms like burning sensation and frequent urination.
• Skin and soft tissue infections: Renepenem 200 Tablet helps in skin and soft tissue infections like cellulitis by killing the bacteria causing the infection, reducing swelling, redness, and pain.

• Take Renepenem 200 Tablet with or without food as advised by your doctor.

• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

• If you notice blood in your stools or have severe stomach pain with diarrhoea, contact your doctor immediately.
• Renepenem 200 Tablet may cause vitamin K or vitamin B deficiency in some patients, particularly in elderly individuals and those with poor oral intake.

• If you have kidney problems, a family history of atopy (a tendency to develop allergic reactions), glucose-galactose malabsorption, lactase deficiency, or galactose intolerance, inform your doctor before taking Renepenem 200 Tablet.
