RENIDEX DROPS

RENIDEX DROPS is a combination of an antibiotic and a corticosteroid used to treat bacterial infections accompanied by inflammation. It is commonly prescribed for the following conditions:

• Bacterial eye infections with swelling: RENIDEX DROPS helps clear the harmful bacteria causing the infection while reducing redness, itching, and painful swelling in the eye.
• Bacterial ear infections with inflammation: It treats infections in the outer ear canal, relieving painful pressure, redness, and localised swelling.
   

By combining an antibiotic with an anti-inflammatory medicine, RENIDEX DROPS provides several benefits that promote faster symptom relief and recovery, including:

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• For Eye use: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops as advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• For Ear use: Lie on your side or tilt your head so the ear faces up and instil the advised number of drops into the ear.
• To prevent contamination, do not touch the tip of the dropper to your eye, ear, or any surface.

• Avoid Contact Lenses: Avoid wearing contact lenses while treating an eye infection. Switch to glasses until your doctor confirms the infection is completely cleared.
• Avoid Touching the Affected Area: Do not touch or rub your eyes or ears, as this can introduce new bacteria or spread the infection to the other side.
• Maintain Good Hand Hygiene: Wash your hands frequently, especially before and after touching your face or applying the drops.
• Replace Eye Makeup: Discard any eye makeup you used when the infection started to prevent reinfecting yourself later.
• Keep the Ear Dry: If treating an ear infection, keep the affected ear completely dry. Avoid swimming and use a shower cap or silicone earplugs while bathing.
   

• Inspect the Medicine Before Use: Inspect the bottle before use; do not use the drops if the liquid looks cloudy, discoloured, or contains floating particles.
• Record the Opening Date: Write the date you opened the bottle on the carton so you know exactly when to discard it (after 28 days).
• Space Out Other Eye or Ear Medications: If your doctor has prescribed other eye or ear drops, wait at least 5 to 10 minutes between applying RENIDEX DROPS and the other medications.
• Take Care When Driving: Avoid driving or operating machinery immediately after putting the drops in your eyes, as your vision may be temporarily blurred.
• Do Not Share the Medicine: Do not share your drops with anyone else, even if they have similar symptoms, to avoid spreading the infection.
