Respira-LR Suspension is used to provide relief from cough associated with bronchitis, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Coughing (dry or productive) is the body's way of clearing irritants (like allergens, mucus or smoke) from airways and preventing infection.

Respira-LR Suspension is a combination of Levosalbutamol, Ambroxol, and Guaiphenesin. Levosalbutamol works by relaxing muscles and widening the airways of the lungs. Ambroxol works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. Guaiphenesin increases the volume of fluid in the airways and reduces the stickiness of mucus.

Respira-LR Suspension may cause common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhoea, headache, dry mouth or throat. What if I have taken an overdose of Respira-LR Suspension

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Respira-LR Suspension may include bleeding from the stomach or duodenum, decreased motility or constipation, dizziness or drowsiness, eye irritation, fatigue, gastrointestinal discomfort, gastrointestinal tract irritation, headache, hypokalaemia, nausea, nervousness, peritonitis, respiratory tract irritation, skin irritation, sleeplessness, tachycardia, tremor, and ulceration. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Avoid dairy products such as milk, as it may increase mucus production. Also, avoid processed or refined foods.
  • Replace baked foods, fried foods, white bread, white pasta, french fries, sugary desserts and chips with green leafy vegetables.
  • Give your child plenty of fluids to avoid a dry throat. It also helps loosen mucus.
  • Avoid citrus fruits as they may worsen the cough.
  • Let your child have fruits rich in water content, such as pears, watermelon, peaches and pineapples.
