About Rex Tablet 10's
Rex Tablet 10's is used to treat cough associated with mucus. Coughing (dry or productive) is the body’s way of clearing irritants (such as allergens, mucus, or smoke) from the airways, thereby preventing respiratory infections.
Rex Tablet 10's is a combination of three drugs, namely Guaifenesin, Terbutaline and Bromhexine. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that works by increasing the volume of fluid in the airways, reducing the stickiness of mucus and helping to remove it from the airways. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator that relaxes muscles and widens the airways. Thus, it makes breathing easier. Bromhexine is a mucolytic agent (cough/sputum thinner) that thins and loosens phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe and nose. Thus, it helps cough up easily.
Use Rex Tablet 10's as prescribed by your doctor. Some people may experience nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, skin rash, tremors, stomach upset and fast heartbeats. Most of the side effects of Rex Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Rex Tablet 10's or any other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before using Rex Tablet 10's. If you have a history of fits or are suffering from fits, please inform your doctor before taking Rex Tablet 10's as it may increase the risk of recurrent fits.
