Romical Plus Tablet

Romical Plus Tablet is primarily used to treat low blood calcium levels. It effectively treats various conditions, such as vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis (characterised by weak bones), latent tetany (a muscle disease associated with low blood calcium levels). Romical Plus Tablet can also be given to pregnant, nursing, and postmenopausal women to ensure that they are getting enough calcium.

Romical Plus Tablet contains Calcitriol (Vitamin D3). Calcitriol is a synthetic version of Vitamin D3. It raises Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. This helps in improving the absorption rate of calcium from the intestine.

In some cases, Romical Plus Tablet can cause side effects like constipation, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, mood changes, weakness, tiredness, fast or pounding heartbeat, bone/muscle pain, and headache. Most of these side effects of Romical Plus Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Take Romical Plus Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to take Romical Plus Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. Romical Plus Tablet can be taken with or without food. Shake the bottle well before use.

Inform your physician if you are allergic to Romical Plus Tablet. Let your doctor know if you have any liver/kidney disease, heart disease, kidney stones and hypervitaminosis D (having too much vitamin D) hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels), hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), heart, kidney, liver, or blood vessel diseases, kidney stones, or malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrients from food) before starting Romical Plus Tablet. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Romical Plus Tablet.

Romical Plus Tablet is used to treat Osteoporosis, Osteomalacia/rickets, Hypoparathyroidism, and Latent tetany. The detailed uses of Romical Plus Tablet are as follows:

• Osteoporosis: Romical Plus Tablet treats osteoporosis by promoting calcium absorption and strengthening bones.
• Osteomalacia/Rickets: Romical Plus Tablet helps to strengthen weak bones by enhancing calcium and phosphate absorption.
• Hypoparathyroidism: Romical Plus Tablet manages low parathyroid hormone levels by regulating calcium levels.
• Latent Tetany: Romical Plus Tablet treats muscle disease caused by low blood calcium, relieving muscle cramps and spasms.

• Romical Plus Tablet can be taken with or without food.
• It is recommended to take Romical Plus Tablet once daily or as advised by your doctor.
• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Inform your doctor immediately if you notice fever, increased thirst and urination, dehydration, bedwetting, constipation, and stomach pain, as they may sign very high calcium levels in your blood. 
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Romical Plus Tablet.
• Higher doses of Vitamin D than the recommended daily dose should be used in pregnant women only when advised by the doctor.
• Do not take Romical Plus Tablet if you have hypercalcemia (high calcium levels), hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), and malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food).
