Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's is used to lower the levels of bad cholesterol called low-density lipoprotein (LDL), a type of fat in the blood. This reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke in future. About Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's

Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's is used to lower the levels of bad cholesterol called low-density lipoprotein (LDL), a type of fat in the blood. This reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke in future. High cholesterol occurs when there is an excess of the unhealthy balance of cholesterol in the blood.

Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's is a combination of two drugs: Rosuvastatin and Bempedoic acid. Rosuvastatin belongs to the class of statins or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors that work by inhibiting the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme in the body that is essential to make cholesterol. Thereby, it decreases the production of LDL (bad cholesterol) by the liver. Bempedoic acid decreases cholesterol production in the liver and increases the removal of LDL cholesterol from the blood. 

Take Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you how often you take Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's based on your medical condition. Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's may cause common side effects such as headache, stomach pain, dizziness, weakness, muscle pain or constipation. Most of these side effects of Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

Directions for Use

• Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.• It is usually taken once daily or as prescribed by your doctor.• Swallow Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's as a whole with a glass of water.• Do not break, crush, or chew it.

Storage

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight.• Keep Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's out of reach and sight of children. • Non cold chain - To be stored in cool places at 10ºC to 25ºC or below 30ºC.

What if I have taken an overdose of Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's

Do not take more than the prescribed dose. If you take more than prescribed dose accidentally, please go to the emergency department of the closest hospital or call doctor right away. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Drug Warnings

If you are allergic to Rosuvastatin, Bempedoic acid or any other ingredients of Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before taking Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's. You are advised to take effective birth control measures to avoid pregnancy while taking Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's. Maintain a low-fat diet along with Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's for effective results. If you have diabetes, inform your doctor before taking Rosuvas B 20 Tablet 10's.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Maintain a low-fat diet. Limit your intake of dairy products made with whole milk and red meat. Prefer skim milk and fat-free or low-fat dairy products.
  • Eat a healthy diet that includes fruits, vegetables, fish, poultry, whole grains, nuts, cut-down beverages, and processed and sugary foods.
  • Do regular exercises such as swimming, cycling, walking, or dancing and focus on losing weight, as obesity also raises bad cholesterol and lowers good cholesterol.
  • Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
