ROXID DROPS belongs to the group of antibiotic medicines called macrolides. ROXID DROPS is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is used to treat respiratory tract, gastrointestinal, skin and soft tissue infections. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and make you sick.

ROXID DROPS works by interfering with the protein synthesis of the bacteria, which is necessary for their survival. Thus, it helps in treating and preventing the spread of infections. ROXID DROPS does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.
 
Take ROXID DROPS as prescribed. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as nausea, headache, dizziness, stomach upset, diarrhoea, rash and stomach ache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Do not take antacid medicines along with ROXID DROPS; maintain a gap of 2 hours between both. Avoid taking ROXID DROPS if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor. ROXID DROPS may reduce the effectiveness of contraceptives. Consult your doctor before taking ROXID DROPS if you are using contraceptives. ROXID DROPS may cause dizziness, so be cautious while driving. Avoid alcohol consumption to prevent unpleasant side effects. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking and about your health condition to rule out any unpleasant side effects.

• Treatment of Bacterial Infections: ROXID DROPS is commonly prescribed for managing bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis.
• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: ROXID DROPS effectively treats skin conditions like cellulitis and other soft tissue infections caused by bacteria that respond to this medication.
• Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs): ROXID DROPS is widely used in the treatment of STIs such as Chlamydia and gonorrhea, due to its efficacy against the bacteria responsible for these diseases.
• Ear Infections (Otitis Media): ROXID DROPS is also employed in the treatment of otitis media, a middle ear infection often seen in children, to alleviate symptoms and combat the infection.

• Take ROXID DROPS on an empty stomach or 15 minutes before food or three hours after a meal, or as advised by your doctor.
• It is advised to take ROXID DROPS once daily; however, follow your doctor’s recommendation regarding the dosage and duration.
• Swallow ROXID DROPS as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.
