Salofen AR Tablet 10's is used to reduce and relieve pain and inflammation (swelling) associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It may also be indicated in the treatment of pain associated with post-traumatic and post-operative cases. It contains Aceclofenac and Rabeprazole, which work by reducing the production of prostaglandins (chemicals) that cause pain and inflammation. This helps reduce mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Aceclofenac has been reported to cause gastric discomfort and acidity. Hence, it is combined with Rabeprazole, which reduces the amount of acid the stomach makes, thus preventing damage to the stomach. Thus, it helps reduce pain with minimal gastric irritation caused due to Aceclofenac alone. In some cases, you may experience side effects such as indigestion, stomach pain, constipation, dizziness, nausea and diarrhoea.
