About SIRILEPT 100MG TABLET

SIRILEPT 100MG TABLET belongs to a group of medicines called anti-psychotics used to treat schizophrenia. It may also be used to treat psychosis and other similar conditions. Schizophrenia is a medical condition in which the person may feel, hear or see things that are not there, believe things that are not true, or feel unusually suspicious or confused. 
 
SIRILEPT 100MG TABLET contains Zotepine, which works by modulating the action of chemical messengers in the brain which affect thoughts. Thereby, it helps treat schizophrenia.
 
In some cases, SIRILEPT 100MG TABLET may cause side effects like dry mouth, drowsiness, weight gain, sweating, and movement disorders. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, talk to the doctor if any of the side effects persist or worsen.

SIRILEPT 100MG TABLET may cause hypotension (low blood pressure). This might cause you to feel faint when you stand up. If you experience this, do not try to stand up suddenly or start walking; instead, lie down and get up slowly only when you feel better. It is advised to monitor blood pressure levels during treatment with SIRILEPT 100MG TABLET regularly.
