It contains Cefoperazone, which works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering necessary for their survival by binding to the penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), thus preventing cross-linking of nascent peptidoglycan and killing the bacteria. It may cause diarrhoea, allergic reactions, abnormal liver function tests, and anaemia (low number of red blood cells).
