About Tacliment Eye Ointment 5 gm

Tacliment Eye Ointment 5 gm is used to treat allergic eye inflammations. It relieves symptoms like eye-watering, itching, redness and irritation by suppressing the immune cell response.

Tacliment Eye Ointment 5 gm contains Tacrolimus, which works by inhibiting the production of inflammatory chemicals by specific immune cells (T lymphocytes).

In some cases, Tacliment Eye Ointment 5 gm may cause side effects such as foreign body sensation in the eye, burning sensation, and blurred vision. Directions for Use

Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the ointment into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.

This medicine may be indicated in conditions such as severe atopic blepharoconjunctivitis (inflammation of eyelid and conjunctiva), intractable allergic conjunctivitis (eye inflammation caused by allergy), giant papillary conjunctivitis (allergic reaction of the eye), corneal graft rejection, vernal keratoconjunctivitis (allergic inflammation of the conjunctiva) and atopic keratoconjunctivitis (inflammatory disease of the eye). What if I have taken an overdose of Tacliment Eye Ointment 5 gm

Due to low expected systemic passage of Tacliment Eye Ointment 5 gm, overdose is not likely. However, the risk of overdose cannot be excluded. In case of overdose, rinse with water or 0.9% normal saline water. Call your doctor or get medical care right away.

Drug Warnings

Do not use Tacliment Eye Ointment 5 gm if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform the doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, diabetes, blood coagulation problems, heart problems, infections, allergic reactions, red eye or tearing.
