Telefix MT 40mg/50mg Tablet is used in the treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure). The detailed uses of Telefix MT 40mg/50mg Tablet are as follows:

• Treatment of Hypertension: Telefix MT 40mg/50mg Tablet helps to manage high blood pressure by dilating blood vessels and slowing heart rate, which in turn lowers blood pressure.
• Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: Telefix MT 40mg/50mg Tablet reduces the risk of cardiovascular complications such as heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage by controlling blood pressure and decreasing the workload on the heart.

Telefix MT 40mg/50mg Tablet is a combination of two blood pressure-lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol succinate. Telmisartan belongs to the class of drugs called Angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor, thereby relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the blood pressure. Metoprolol succinate belongs to the class of drugs known as beta-blockers. It helps to reduce blood pressure by allowing the blood to flow more smoothly. Together, Telefix MT 40mg/50mg Tablet helps in lowering blood pressure to normal.

• Take Telefix MT 40mg/50mg Tablet with or without food as advised by your doctor.
• Usually it is taken once daily, or as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow Telefix MT 40mg/50mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.
