Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet belongs to the class antihypertensive agents used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It may also be used to lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in future. High blood pressure is a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high leading to hypertension. Symptoms of high blood pressure include headache, dizziness, nose bleed, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness and dyspnoea (shortness of breath).

Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet is a combination of two high blood pressure-lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol succinate. Telmisartan belongs to the class of drugs called Angiotensin II receptor antagonists that works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor, relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the blood pressure. Metoprolol succinate belongs to the class of drugs known as beta-blockers which reduces blood pressure by allowing the blood to flow more smoothly. Together, Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet helps in reducing the raised blood pressure. 

Take Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, stomach pain, and slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Directions for Use

• Take Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet with or without food as advised by your doctor.• Usually it is taken once daily, or as prescribed by your doctor.• Swallow Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

What if I have taken an overdose of Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet

Take Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet only as prescribed by the physician. Do not exceed the recommended dose as it might cause an overdose. If you suspect you have taken an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

Drug Warnings

Do not take Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet if you are allergic to telmisartan or metoprolol succinate. Inform your doctor if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors, aliskiren, quinidine, disopyramide, or other blood pressure-lowering medicines. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet . Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet is not recommended for children. Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet contains Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate. Telmisartan works by blocking the angiotensin II receptors. Angiotensin II constricts the blood vessels, so by blocking its effect, Telmisartan allows the blood vessels to relax and widen. Metoprolol Succinate helps to reduce blood pressure by allowing the blood to flow more smoothly. Together, Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet helps in reducing the blood pressure to normal.

Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet may cause a slow heart rate (bradycardia). A minor fluctuation should not be a worry; however, if a slow heart rate continues and you begin to feel unwell, speak with your doctor.

Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet may alter potassium levels. Therefore, inform your doctor if you are taking food rich in potassium, such as potassium-containing salt substitutes or over-the-counter potassium supplements.

Please do not stop taking Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet without consulting your doctor as it may lead to a rise in blood pressure. Continue taking Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it to you. Orthostatic hypotension could be a side-effect of Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet . Orthostatic hypotension is a sudden lowering in blood pressure leading to dizziness on standing. If you experience this, do not try to stand up suddenly or start walking, instead lie down and get up slowly only when you feel better. People taking Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet are advised to monitor their blood pressure levels regularly to avoid unpleasant events.

Use Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet cautiously in patients with kidney impairment, liver disease, or heart conditions. Caution is advised while driving as it can cause dizziness. Telmiprime Beta 25 Tablet must not be used after the expiry date and take it as advised by the doctor.
