How Telmiprime CC 10/6.25 Tablet Works

Telmiprime CC 10/6.25 Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Chlorthalidone (diuretic), Cilnidipine (calcium channel blocker), and Telmisartan (angiotensin II receptor blocker). Chlorthalidone belongs to the class of diuretics (water tablets) that work by increasing the removal of excess water and certain salts, such as sodium and potassium, from the blood. This removal of water from blood reduces the fluid volume circulating through blood vessels and improves blood flow. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that acts on muscle cells in the artery walls and relaxes muscle cells. Thereby, it relaxes and widens arteries (blood vessels) and improves the blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart. Telmisartan works by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II in the body that causes the narrowing of blood vessels, leading to high blood pressure. Thereby, Telmiprime CC 10/6.25 Tablet widens and relaxes blood vessels. Thus, it lowers high blood pressure.
