About Telwave-M 25 Tablet
Telwave-M 25 Tablet belongs to the class antihypertensive agents used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It may also be used to lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in future. High blood pressure is a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high leading to hypertension. Symptoms of high blood pressure include headache, dizziness, nose bleed, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness and dyspnoea (shortness of breath).
Telwave-M 25 Tablet is a combination of two high blood pressure-lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol succinate. Telmisartan belongs to the class of drugs called Angiotensin II receptor antagonists that works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor, relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the blood pressure. Metoprolol succinate belongs to the class of drugs known as beta-blockers which reduces blood pressure by allowing the blood to flow more smoothly. Together, Telwave-M 25 Tablet helps in reducing the raised blood pressure.
Take Telwave-M 25 Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Telwave-M 25 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, stomach pain, and slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Telwave-M 25 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Try not to stop taking it on your own as it may cause a sudden increase the blood pressure, chest pain or heart attack. Consult your doctor before starting Telwave-M 25 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Telwave-M 25 Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid alcohol consumption with Telwave-M 25 Tablet as it may cause increased dizziness. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any interactions.

Telwave-M 25 Tablet is a combination of two blood pressure-lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol succinate. Drug Warnings
Do not take Telwave-M 25 Tablet if you are allergic to telmisartan or metoprolol succinate. Inform your doctor if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors, aliskiren, quinidine, disopyramide, or other blood pressure-lowering medicines. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Telwave-M 25 Tablet . Telwave-M 25 Tablet is not recommended for children. Telwave-M 25 Tablet may cause dizziness and tiredness, so drive or operate heavy machinery only if you are alert. Keep your doctor informed if you have kidney or liver diseases, biliary obstruction, heart problems, low blood pressure, diabetes, elevated potassium levels, blood circulation problems, asthma, COPD, metabolic acidosis, phaeochromocytoma, slow heart rate, psoriasis, myasthenia gravis, or prinzmetal angina.

Telwave-M 25 Tablet contains Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate. Telmisartan works by blocking the angiotensin II receptors. Angiotensin II constricts the blood vessels, so by blocking its effect, Telmisartan allows the blood vessels to relax and widen. Metoprolol Succinate helps to reduce blood pressure by allowing the blood to flow more smoothly. Together, Telwave-M 25 Tablet helps in reducing the blood pressure to normal.
Telwave-M 25 Tablet may cause a slow heart rate (bradycardia). A minor fluctuation should not be a worry; however, if a slow heart rate continues and you begin to feel unwell, speak with your doctor.
Telwave-M 25 Tablet may alter potassium levels. Therefore, inform your doctor if you are taking food rich in potassium, such as potassium-containing salt substitutes or over-the-counter potassium supplements.
Please do not stop taking Telwave-M 25 Tablet without consulting your doctor as it may lead to a rise in blood pressure. Continue taking Telwave-M 25 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it to you. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Telwave-M 25 Tablet .
Orthostatic hypotension could be a side-effect of Telwave-M 25 Tablet . Orthostatic hypotension is a sudden lowering in blood pressure leading to dizziness on standing. If you experience this, do not try to stand up suddenly or start walking, instead lie down and get up slowly only when you feel better. People taking Telwave-M 25 Tablet are advised to monitor their blood pressure levels regularly to avoid unpleasant events.
Use Telwave-M 25 Tablet cautiously in patients with kidney impairment, liver disease, or heart conditions. Caution is advised while driving as it can cause dizziness. Telwave-M 25 Tablet must not be used after the expiry date and take it as advised by the doctor.
Telwave-M 25 Tablet can cause dizziness. So, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you feel dizzy.
While using Telwave-M 25 Tablet , it is advised to follow a low-salt, low-fat diet. Regular exercise is recommended to support its effectiveness. A balanced diet with whole grains, vegetables, and fruits is beneficial. Avoid smoking and alcohol, and aim to maintain a healthy weight with proper diet and exercise. Managing stress through meditation, yoga, or massage can also help control high blood pressure.
You are not recommended to stop taking Telwave-M 25 Tablet even if you feel better as it can raise the risk of heart attack and stroke. Take Telwave-M 25 Tablet for as long as it is advised by your doctor. If you experience any difficulty while taking Telwave-M 25 Tablet , please consult your doctor.
