About Tenofed Capsule
Tenofed Capsule is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Hypertension is a condition in which the blood exerts high pressure (force exerted by circulating blood) against the walls of blood vessels.
Tenofed Capsule contains atenolol and nifedipine, which work together to control high blood pressure. It helps relax blood vessels and improves blood flow throughout the body. It also supports better heart function and helps prevent chest pain.
Take Tenofed Capsule as advised by a doctor. You may experience nausea, tiredness, stomach upset/constipation, cold hands or feet, flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), dizziness, headache, sleepiness, palpitations (pounding of the heart), and swelling of the ankles or feet. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Do not stop taking Tenofed Capsule without consulting your doctor since it may worsen your condition and increase the risk of future heart problems. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please tell your doctor so that the dosage of Tenofed Capsule can be prescribed accordingly. Reduce the amount of table salt (sodium chloride) in your diet.

Tenofed Capsule is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).
Tenofed Capsule consists of Atenolol and Nifedipine medicines. Atenolol is a beta-blocker and treats high blood pressure, angina (chest pain), and uneven heartbeats (arrhythmias) by reducing the heart rate and making the heart pump blood throughout the body. Nifedipine works by relaxing the blood vessels; this lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems in the future.
It is advised to consult your doctor before taking Tenofed Capsule if you have a history of severe kidney or liver diseases, low potassium levels (hypokalaemia), diabetes, gout, abnormal heart rhythms, thyroid disorders and asthma.
Yes, Tenofed Capsule contains nifedipine, which can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, especially when you start taking Tenofed Capsule , to avoid a sudden drop, please get up gently when sitting down to avoid dizziness.
Even though your blood pressure becomes normal after using Tenofed Capsule , it may switch back to high ranges if you stop using it. Your doctor may change the dosing schedule based on your blood pressure range.
If you forget to take Tenofed Capsule at any time, take it as soon as you remember, then continue to take it at the usual times. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
