Tesgraf 0.5 Capsule 10's is used to prevent rejection of a transplanted organ, such as a liver, kidney, or heart. Organ rejection occurs when a patient’s immune system recognises the donor organ as foreign and tries to eliminate it.

Tesgraf 0.5 Capsule 10's contains Tacrolimus, which works by suppressing the activity of T and B lymphocytes (cells in the immune system) that usually attack foreign invaders and defend the body against foreign cells and infection. Thus, it prevents organ rejection in transplanted patients and helps the body to accept the new organ.

Take Tesgraf 0.5 Capsule 10's as prescribed. You are advised to use Tesgraf 0.5 Capsule 10's for as long as your doctor has recommended it for you based on your medical condition. Some people may experience nausea, diarrhoea, headache, kidney problems, infection, fever, constipation or high blood pressure. Most of these side effects of Tesgraf 0.5 Capsule 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Tacrolimus or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. • Prevention of Organ Transplant Rejection: Tesgraf 0.5 Capsule 10's is used to stop the body from rejecting a transplanted kidney, liver, heart, or lung. It works by lowering the activity of certain immune cells that could attack the new organ. It is usually given along with other anti-rejection medicines.
• Other Off-Label Uses: In some cases, Tesgraf 0.5 Capsule 10's may be used for graft-versus-host disease (after bone marrow or stem cell transplant), autoimmune liver diseases (autoimmune hepatitis, lupus nephritis), autoimmune eye conditions (uveitis, scleritis), and other immune-related disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, or myasthenia gravis, particularly when standard treatments are not effective.

• Take Tesgraf 0.5 Capsule 10's at least 1 hour before or 2 to 3 hours after a meal or as advised by your doctor.

• Swallow it as a whole with water.

• When preparing the oral suspension, use glass or metal containers only, as the granules can stick to plastic (PVC) and result in an incomplete dose.
• Avoid inhaling the granules or letting them, or the prepared suspension, come into contact with your skin or eyes. If accidental contact occurs, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water or rinse eyes with plain water.
