Ticahenz-60 Tablet belongs to the class of medications called antiplatelet drugs, primarily used to reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke in high-risk patients. It is also used to lower the risk of blood clots in people with coronary artery disease.

Ticahenz-60 Tablet contains Ticagrelor, which works by preventing platelets from sticking together and forming a blood clot. Thereby, Ticahenz-60 Tablet helps reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke.

In some cases, Ticahenz-60 Tablet may cause side effects like bleeding, dyspnea (shortness of breath), dizziness, nausea, and diarrhoea. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Directions for Use

  • Ticahenz-60 Tablet can be taken with or without food, as advised by your doctor.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Swallow Ticahenz-60 Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
  • Do not crush, break, or chew it.

What if I have taken an overdose of Ticahenz-60 Tablet

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Ticahenz-60 Tablet as it may cause an overdose. Symptoms of overdose may include bleeding, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and irregular heartbeat. If you suspect you have taken an overdose or notice signs of overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

Drug Warnings

  • Do not take Ticahenz-60 Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components or have a history of bleeding in the brain.
  • Inform your doctor if you have/had bleeding problems, serious injury or surgery, stomach ulcers, colon polyps, asthma, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), liver problems, stroke, or are due to undergo any surgery.
  • Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Your doctor will decide if it is safe to use Ticahenz-60 Tablet during pregnancy or not.
  •  Ticahenz-60 Tablet is not recommended during breastfeeding as it passes into the breast milk. Your doctor will decide if you will take Ticahenz-60 Tablet or breastfeed.
  • The safety and effectiveness in children below 18 years of age have not been established, so Ticahenz-60 Tablet should not be given to children.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you notice signs of bleeding, such as uncontrollable bleeding, severe bleeding, pink/red/brown urine, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, blood in vomit, red/black stools, or coughing up blood.
  • Ticahenz-60 Tablet may cause shortness of breath. Call your doctor if you experience new or unexpected shortness of breath at rest, at night, or during any activity.
