About Toba Eye Drops 5 ml

Toba Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any part of the eye, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.

Toba Eye Drops 5 ml contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus, Toba Eye Drops 5 ml treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Toba Eye Drops 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Toba Eye Drops 5 ml are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). • Corneal Ulcers: Toba Eye Drops 5 ml is used in combination with other antibiotics to treat corneal ulcers, especially those caused by bacterial infections.
• Eye Injuries or Foreign Body Removal: Toba Eye Drops 5 ml is used to prevent infection in case of eye injury or after removal of foreign body from the eye.

Directions for Use

  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
  • Toba Eye Drops 5 ml is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.
  • Do not touch the dropper tip or other dispensing tip to any surface since this may contaminate solution.
