Tobrine Eye Drop 5 ml belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any part of the eye, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.

Tobrine Eye Drop 5 ml contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus, Tobrine Eye Drop 5 ml treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Tobrine Eye Drop 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Tobrine Eye Drop 5 ml are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). Most of these side effects fade away gradually over time without the need for medical intervention. However, consult your doctor if you experience these side effects frequently.

Tobrine Eye Drop 5 ml is for ophthalmic (eye) use only; do not inject or swallow. Do not use Tobrine Eye Drop 5 ml if you are allergic to tobramycin, other aminoglycoside antibiotics, or any components in Tobrine Eye Drop 5 ml. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, notify your doctor. Tobrine Eye Drop 5 ml may temporarily blur your vision; therefore, wait until your vision is back to normal before using any machinery or driving.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• Tobrine Eye Drop 5 ml is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.
• Do not touch the dropper tip or other dispensing tip to any surface since this may contaminate solution.
